Trade fair HOGA 2017

Nuremberg 2017

A dash of retro, expressive colors and playful opulence – this could be the description of our booth at the HOGA 2017 in Nuremberg.

“At first glace, it does not seem to be a hotel room, at least not as we are used to it: with a wardrobe-bed-luggage stand in the classical way”, says Georg Wurm, the owner of Holz and Design Wurm.

In front, you can see a sophisticated bed, which dominates the whole room due to a disproportionately large and different colored headboard. „Individualism is required more than ever“, explains Wurm. “Many hotels are defined by a main topic, which is also transmitted by their interior design. Guests wish to experience new things, but at the same time they would like to feel at home.”

The sofa bed is welcoming, the headboard in retro optic and lemon green Chesterfield appears very extraordinary. Discreet side tables and originally designed bedside lamps, which seem to grow out of the wall, combine comfort and design. The wardrobe with a wooden paneled door is placed in the corner quite unremarkable. Simple but effective can be described the color conception: dark wood was chosen for bed and wardrobe, a bright carpet and signature colors for the upholstery of headboard and luggage stand.

“Retro in many varieties is very up to date. As well as industrial and alpine design. The last one is shown in many facets and then turns into a modern and individual style”, concludes Georg Wurm. “Most important for me is high quality and artisan manufacture.”
